Understanding Orders

Orders are the foundation of your restaurant operations. Every customer interaction creates an order that tracks items, pricing, payment, and fulfillment status.

🎯 Order Lifecycle

  1. Created: Order is initiated by customer or staff
  2. In Progress: Items are being prepared
  3. Ready: Order is complete and ready for pickup/delivery
  4. Completed: Order is fulfilled and paid
  5. Cancelled: Order is cancelled (if applicable)

Updating Order Status

  1. Select the order from your order queue
  2. Click on the status button
  3. Choose the new status
  4. Add notes if needed (optional)
  5. Save changes - notifications are sent automatically

Common Order Scenarios

Assign table number, take order, send to kitchen, mark ready when prepared, process payment at table.
